Deadpool and Wolverine’s shocking MCU Theory: Is Kang Pulling All the Strings?

I believe everyone is still buzzing about the new Deadpool and Wolverine trailers. The trailer provides a clearer look at our antagonist, Cassandra Nova. However, after watching the trailer, most people, like me, feel that Agent Paradox of TVA will be a bad guy himself. I believe he is not a positive character due to certain actions or traits. However, I do not believe the entire TVA is bad. I believe Agent Paradox and his team exhibit negative qualities or behaviors. In fact, I don’t believe they are working for the TVA, at least not the one we know and witnessed in Loki series. They may seek to control the TVA for their own purposes. Additionally, I suspect Kang the Conqueror is the mastermind behind Agent Paradox.

According to sources, Marvel Studios will continue with the story of  Kang the Conqueror, which makes sense given how much work they did to establish Kang in the MCU as the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga. So, it makes sense that they wouldn’t simply forsake what they’ve already accomplished.

On a side note, this means Kang will need to be recast. Jonathan Majors will not be returning to play Kang the Conqueror. I know there are a lot of petitions out there to bring him back and attempt to get Marvel to rehire him, but as of right now, we’ve heard that they will recast Kang.

Agent Paradox: Friend or Foe?

Now, back to the point, I believe Kang is behind Agent Paradox, and I believe the ending of Deadpool and Wolverine will not be exactly what everyone expects. In fact, I still believe Deadpool will destroy almost the whole Multiverse. I have a theory regarding the events unfolding in Deadpool and Wolverine, involving Agent Paradox, Cassandra Nova, Kang the Conqueror, and the eventual integration of Deadpool and Wolverine into the main MCU timeline.  Keep in mind that Deadpool and Wolverine are currently in the MCU, and the MCU is no longer just one universe; it has expanded to become the Multiverse. We will see series and movies set in various universes, such as Fantastic 4, which will be set in another universe from the main MCU timeline while remaining part of the MCU. The same is true for Deadpool and Wolverine, but I think they eventually jump to the main MCU timeline.

Kang the Conqueror: The Puppet Master?

So, let’s start with the most obvious reason why Agent Paradox would want Deadpool to help him. He wants to take down Cassandra Nova because she is now dominating the void. She is also a significant multiversal threat, and given her telepathic talents, it’s easy to understand how the TVA would be no match for her. In fact, we saw a scene in the trailer where Wolverine appears to be no match for her. But Deadpool has extraordinary abilities that they will address in the movie. He possesses the ability to break the fourth wall. It’s weird to term it a power, yet that’s what it is. That’s one of the best things about Deadpool, so he has a unique set of abilities that would allow him to take on Cassandra Nova and the rest of her team.

Cassandra Nova: A Multiversal Threat

Here’s the major question: why haven’t we encountered Agent Paradox before? We just finished Loki season 1 and season 2, and he was nowhere to be found. Where did he come from, and why is he removing Cassandra Nova from the equation? Think about it for a second. She’s in the void, so the fact that he wants her gone indicates that she can exit from the void and travel to the multiverse. Because the TVA usually doesn’t care what happens in the void. I mean, that’s where the leftovers of worlds are sent, as well as the things or people they prune, so they wouldn’t be concerned with Cassandra Nova until she constituted a threat to the Multiverse, which we know she does.

Mysteries and Speculations: What’s Really Going On?

But, again, Agent Paradox appeared out of nowhere, and I believe that is because, with He Who Remains gone, new Kangs want to control the TVA, and that Agent Paradox is assisting a variant of Kang the Conqueror, but first, he must get rid of Cassandra Nova, which could be for a variety of reasons. One is that it appears she is manipulating Alioth in the void. Kang may want Alioth for himself, or he may fear Alioth. Remember when He Who Remains recounted the account of the first multiversal war? He said that he used the power of Alioth to kill everyone else. Perhaps this Kang is aware of the story and is simply afraid of Alioth, but Cassandra Nova is insanely powerful and has real abilities, whereas Kang only has technology; he is not psychic and does not have powers, but she does, so she could probably take him on, especially if something happened to his gear.

What’s particularly interesting about this is that, if my theory is accurate, Deadpool and Wolverine are sort of working for Kang, which is a weird but thrilling thought since we know by the end of the film if Paradox is a villain and if he is working for Kang. It’ll probably be exposed, and here’s what I predict will happen: I believe Deadpool and Wolverine will eventually find a way to kill Cassandra Nova, or at least defeat her in some way, and prevent her from traveling into the Multiverse. When they do it, we may witness one of those classic villain moments in which the villain reveals that they are not the true bad guys. Cassandra Nova is tremendously evil; she is bad, and she does pose a threat to the Multiverse, but I believe she will ask them some tough questions, such as why you believe the TVA has you hunting me down particularly, why they chose you especially, and why they want me out of the picture. That’s why I suspect she’ll reveal that the TVA isn’t exactly what they think it is or that Agent Paradox isn’t who they think he is, based on the trailers, which show Deadpool killing TVA agents. Why would he kill TVA agents? Why would he go up against them when they are meant to be helping him?

The Final Showdown: Predictions and Possibilities

There could be several explanations for this: One possibility is that Agent Paradox is simply a rogue TVA agent, while the others are regular TVA agents attempting to stop Deadpool. I want to acknowledge that because it is certainly a possibility, but what I believe is going on here is that Deadpool and Wolverine are going rogue because they have discovered that Agent Paradox isn’t good, and he could be assisting someone, Kang the Conqueror, in attempting to take over the Multiverse and TVA. So, what happens when they learn this out and old haunted Wolverine, who couldn’t protect his own reality, discovers that he was working for someone wanting to take over everything? Well, that’s when they decide to essentially kill everything, and we get into a Deadpool kills the Multiverse scenario, because here’s the deal: Agent Paradox pitches Deadpool on the concept of saving the Multiverse as well as his own particular universe. But we know that won’t happen. We know we’re heading to Avengers: Secret Wars, we know the Multiverse is going to shatter, we know incursions will occur, and we basically know there’s nothing Deadpool and Wolverine can do to stop it, and Cassandra Nova will expose this. She’ll most likely tell them that, while I am evil and can explore and traverse the Multiverse, the true villain is this man named Kang, and by the way, you work for one of his guys, Agent Paradox. So they’ll presumably realize that the annihilation of the Multiverse, the threat to Deadpool’s home, isn’t Cassandra but rather the TVA, or at least the phony TVA. And Kang, and that’s when I believe everything will go to hell, and they’ll start messing with some universes, or at least wherever they’re at, whether it’s the void, a Fox Universe, another alternate universe, or wherever they are, but I believe they’ll end up in the main MCU timeline. It has been established that the two of them would appear in the main timeline and take part in Avengers Secret Wars.

Conclusion: The Road to Avengers: Secret Wars

What better way to tie them into Avengers: Secret Wars than for Deadpool and Wolverine to tell or show them that Kang the Conqueror is the ultimate threat to the Multiverse? And we know Wolverine has a haunting past; he was unable to save his world, and we know Deadpool wants to defend his world particularly, so it’s understandable that they’d want to join the fight to save the Multiverse. Wolverine desires redemption, while Deadpool seeks to defend his planet. This puts them in an ideal situation for Secret Wars. And, once again, I don’t think Kang wants to take on Cassandra Nova; I believe he wants her out of the way before he can return and try to take over TVA. I also believe he wants the void for himself. He Who Remains desired the emptiness; it stands to reason that another version of himself would as well, but he does not want to divulge his plans just yet, which is why he works through Agent Paradox.
